    Relationship Update
    Content:

    Hi Team,

    Can we Update the Relationships between Account and Contact without Passing Subject Id and ObjectId through WbebServices.

    Can we update Relationships  using RelationshipId/Relationship RecordId through webservices?

    Regards,

    Nageswar

      Hi Nagesh,

      You need to have Account id(Partyid) to change the associated account of contact. But through any of the unique id from account you can get the Party id and use that for relationship.

      Could you please tell me what are all the unique information you have in Account object , from there we can drive through to achieve your requirement.

      Cheers!

      Nags.

        Hi Nageswar,

        I m bit confused on the requirement , do you want relate two accounts by account hierarchy or you want relate account and contact?

        Thanks,

        Nags.

      Hi Nags,

      We built Relationship between Account-Account/Account-Contact(as per our requirement) by using Relationship Object.

      But we are unable to update the Relationship fields using Web services by using RelationshipId/Relationship Record Id.

      With Regards,

      Nageswara

      You can call SOAP from Person or OrganizationServices.

      If you call from OrganizationService, you need to pass in Org Party Id and relationship id in Update or Merge operations.

      Here is the body of a sample payload,

         <soapenv:Body>
            <typ:updateOrganization>
               <typ:organizationParty>
                  <org:PartyId>300000079546366</org:PartyId>
                  <org:Relationship>
                     <rel:RelationshipId>300000079477919</rel:RelationshipId>
                     <rel:Status>I</rel:Status>
                  </org:Relationship>
               </typ:organizationParty>
            </typ:updateOrganization>
         </soapenv:Body>

      Hi Nageswara,

      Are you able to get through? If not, please share your request payload, how you are using for update which can help to analyze.

      regards,

      Rachit.
