    Title:
    Segment Value Security Rules
    Summary:
    Segment Value Security Rules
    Content:

Is it a correct understanding that a role which is not listed in the segment value security rules will have access to the full list of values for the secured segment? Or we need to specifically give all value access to the unrestricted role?

In our environment, we are experiencing errors of invalid CCID while using unrestricted roles.

Once you enable the security to any value set no user has access to the any values unless you provide it explicitly. So you need to give the access specifically (by creating security policies and assigning them to customer roles and then assigning those custom roles to users) otherwise it is no access is the principle.

      Thanks, Abhijit

Thanks Abhijit for reply, I raised this question because in one of another engagements it is working fine with only a few roles assigned to the company (balancing) segment. other roles are not associated to any security rules and they can see all values.

You can do this through security roles.
