    Title:
    Primavera integration to Fusion PPM
    Summary:
    Primavera integration to Fusion PPM
    Content:

Has anyone implemented Primavera integration to Fusion PPM using Oracle Fusion Project Integration Gateway.

What's your experience? Is this real time or batch process? Have you encountered any specific issues during design and deployment?

I'm keen to know integration around project creation and updates, tasks creation and updates, budgets creation and updates, forecasts creation and updates. Is it also possible to update EVM [earned value management] result too.

      Hi,

Did you get an answer for this post? Is this integration with Fusion PPM Cloud, and could you share some documentation related to this integration?

      Thanks

No, I have not received any responses.

Currently we use the file import [FBDI] process using seeded templates.

There are REST API's but we have not explored this option as yet.

        Regards

        Raj

Hi Raj, long time no see. I believe that Oracle Fusion Project Integration Gateway has been deprecated by Oracle (and has been for a long time). Web services/file loaders are the only way I am aware of.

We would be interested in how others have integrated Primavera P6 with Cloud Project Portfolio Management.  We have a PAAS env in place and currently utilize SOA CS for any custom integration needs.  Would we actually need SOA CS or are others able to utilize an export from P6 into an FBDI template format?

We are integrating P6 using Oracle Integration Cloud Service (OICS) via REST services. We are integrating into the Financial Project Plan in PFM (as opposed to the Execution Project Plan in PEM). We have common resources between P6 and our PRBS, and plan by accounting period. We roll up lower level WBS tasks in P6 to lowest level financial tasks (chargeable tasks). With respect to progress integration, Oracle are lacking in this space. The only web service available (REST or SOAP) only allows Financial Project Plan progress to be updated for an existing draft progress entry. So, we have to have a manual step to create the progress entry first, the P6 sends the physical percent complete. Some related Ideas that we could do with being upvoted:-

d3ec5ba6ec ADFdi Excel loader for Financial Project Plan Resource Assignments.
92d889094a REST services for managing Financial Project Plan Progress.
5544d854fa REST services for managing Financial Project Plans e.g. Set Baseline.

FBDI is unlikely to work for you as it is really intended for data migration and as such only supports inserts; limiting when considering updates to the Financial Project Plan.
