    Using Co-Browse on a website

    Using Co-Browse on a website
    Content:

    Hello,

Our customers are looking into using the Co-Browse feature.  Currently, the widget code is on our Customer Portal pages.  They'd like to have the widget put on our public website.  Is there specific code for using Co-Browse in an area outside of the Customer Portal?  I ask because the code is in an "rn" tag presently.  Thanks!

Ok I think we've solved our own issue.  By using the menu in Livelook, we were able to make modifications to the widget and generate code suitable for a website (outside of the Customer Portal).

I've seen an example of this being done, but I'm not sure if was a static website or a customer portal with a custom domain name.

can you please some direction like what we should use in widget to use cobrowse on external page.

      Hi Ajay,

I went into Livelook and navigated to "Products."  After choosing our version, I made any UI customizations we needed, then went to the Configuration tab.  When you click "Deployment Instructions," you'll get code that can be used on a stand-alone website.  I hope this helps!  =]

Thanks for the information, i am also in a process of adding co-browse on our external page, currently we are testing it on our CP page by widget. i will ask some question when i will start working on external pages. BTW who will provide access on Livelook?

      Hi Ajay,

When we originally asked Oracle Support to turn on Co-Browse for us, they replied with an initial username and password, along with instructions to get to Livelook.  I imagine they can set you up the same way.

let me ask them to create login for me, my client is already bought the services but was not using.

Right, I think we were in the same situation.  We owned the rights to use it, but had not set it up yet.  They said they'd have to turn it on at their end.  Either way, I hope that you get the information you need.  Seems to be a great product so far!!

      Hi Kerry,

for our demo to business team we are planning to give CO Browse functionality on Chat Workspace, our expectation to display Customer's full desktop including all webpages, apps etc. we have followed these steps :

Updated <rn:widget path="utils/CobrowsePremium" /> into template which used in Chat Page

Updated <rn:widget path="utils/CobrowsePremium" /> into template which used in Chat launch Page which is used into Home

Updated <rn:widget path="chat/ChatCobrowsePremium" /> into Chat landing Page

then went to live look, product->Configuration->Standerd Deployment and saved

now started a chat, as a CSR clicked Screen Share button, accepted Screen Share as Customer, now on agent co browse screen i can only see my custhelp page (Sometime Chat_Launch and sometime home.php), we are expecting to see complete desktop of customer, what step we are missing here.

      Hi Ajay,

I first should say that we are not set up for Chat yet, so we're doing it a little differently.  Have you tried clicking Advanced Mode from within the console?  We noticed when we click Advanced Mode that we can see more of the user's desktop.

I don't get advance mode into my console

but Standard development set in live look

I don't know if it makes a difference, but ours is configured to use ICB Only.
