    Announcement:

    Oracle Cloud Customer Connect
Change in Enhancement Request Processes – Impact to ERP and SCM Cloud Customers

Oracle ERP and SCM Cloud will be moving the Enhancement Request (ER) processes out of My Oracle Support and into the Idea Labs within Cloud Customer Connect. This move is part of our ongoing initiative to continuously improve the customer experience and transparency of the enhancement request process and delivery.

The Idea Labs are feedback forums where Oracle Applications customers can submit ideas, collaborate on solution approaches, vote for their favorite ideas, and see which are being implemented by Oracle.

If a service request (SR) is determined to be a product enhancement, customers can decide if they would like to log this as an Idea in the appropriate Idea Lab (or vote on one that is already established in the Lab). Enhancement requests will no longer be created in My Oracle Support. Having ideas within the Idea Labs allows customers to have further conversations with other Oracle ERP and SCM Cloud Customers, Partners, and Product Development. This will deliver more transparency on enhancement suggestions by allowing customers to socialize their ideas and the ability to vote on others. Customers will be able to see the periodic updates on the most voted ideas from the ERP and SCM Cloud Development team.

You can also review the ERP and SCM FAQ documents regarding this change.

Targeted date for this change is August 1, 2019. We have scheduled a Customer Connect session that you may join if you have any questions.

Will enhancement requests already logged via a service request be transferred here or do we need to create them?

Is there a plan for Oracle EPM to also move the Enhancement Request (ER) processes out of My Oracle Support and into the Idea Labs within Cloud Customer Connect? If so, what is the expected timeline for this change?

      Q. Will enhancement requests already logged via a service request be transferred here or do we need to create them?

      A. Existing ERs will not be migrated.  We have put a lot of thought into this and we believe that if we simply move everything from MoS into the Idea Labs that the site will immediately be cluttered and difficult to navigate.  We encourage our customers to review their list of ERs and for those that may still apply, please re-log those in Idea Lab so other customers may review and vote.  We are working on a FAQ and will post shortly.

Q.Is there a plan for Oracle EPM to also move the Enhancement Request (ER) processes out of My Oracle Support and into the Idea Labs within Cloud Customer Connect? If so, what is the expected timeline for this change?

      A.   EPM already has Idea Labs in place. Please look under Ideas - Enterprise Performance Management.

While the EPM Cloud team is actively monitoring and converting IdeaLab submissions into Enhancement Requests, we have not yet moved exclusively to this process.

For the time being, you can continue to use the SR process or utilize IdeaLabs.

Stay tuned for future announcements in this area.

Kelly, if an ER already has a lot of votes but is not under review or been added to a release, moving that to the Idea Lab essentially will re-start the process to garner support all over again.... is that correct?

    • Kelly Cooper

Idea Lab will be the first time we take "votes" into consideration so if you have an ER logged thru MOS, it is either waiting to be reviewed by Oracle or already reviewed by Oracle. If it has not been reviewed yet, it is not starting over, it is more of having the option to gather votes to move it up on the review/priority list.  Currently ERs are private to only the customer that logged it.is able to see it.  Does that answer your question?

    • Donald Tran

Is this going to work kind of like EBS's Oracle Community?

    • Kelly Cooper

I can't really answer that as I am not familiar with that they do over there.  I can ask around and see if someone can explain to me what they do.

      Thanks Kelly.

      Hello,

      Thanks,

      Sunil

We received a question on how to perform an additional search for enhancements.  Below are the steps as outlined by support:

      1.  On Dashboard page of MOS, click "Customize Page..." in the top right corner.

      2.  In the section of the page you wish to add a new widget, click "Add Content"

      3.  Choose "Bug Tracker" and click "Add".

      4.  Click "Close Customize" to complete your customization.

Bug Tracker allows customers to monitor their bugs without going to the Favorites page to see them.  Here is a list of what can be tracked:
      – Any bug marked as a Favorite will be displayed in the region regardless of association to the SR, Support Identifier, or the bug status
      – User can mark all bugs that are associated to their SRs with a click of a button
      – Any Favorite bugs marked and stored in the Favorites section will be displayed
      – User can mark any bug they wish by clicking on the star icon Favorite) to add to the Bug Tracker region
      – User can mark a bug from within the SR details page by clicking the star icon
      – Bugs will not be removed from the list unless the user does so by un-checking the star icon to remove
