    Hello All

    Integrating Project Budgets to GL Budgets was a functionality in EBS but not so in Fusion. ER 23086904 to address this issue.

    Has anyone figured out a business process to manage this requirement in any of your client implementation experiences?

      Hi Raj -

      You are correct. This is not yet available in cloud and ER is still in process.

      In Public Sector, we end up using PBCS which has a directly connection to GL and hence PBCS syncs the project budgets to GL as well (assuming you have 'Project' in GL COA structure).

      Until I used to work on Oracle EBS (12.1.1), I did not remember if this functionality existed in EBS.

      PS: PBCS = Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service of EPM (formely Hyperion)

        Hi Hiten - Including a "Project" segment in the COA's is not something we have ever explored for the simple reason it defeats the purpose of implementing PPM as a sub ledger. I understand PBCS and Projects doesn't have a direct link. How do you intend to synchronise the numbers between PBCS and Projects?

          Hi Raj -

          There are 2 options;

          1. Manual steps to sync numbers between PBCS and Projects using Smartview and FBDI

          2. Automated Interface to sync master data like Projects, Tasks, Burden Schedules, Contracts, etc.

          With due respect, inclusion of 'Project' in GL is no way duplicate of Projects in sub-ledger. Subledger has 100 extra attributes and details, whereas GL stores pure accounting summary. Question is - accounting summary should be maintained by which segments. Every client, industry, sector has different requirement for this question. Oil & Gas, Services Companies, Public Sector, Engineering and Construction all may prefer to see their accounting summary by 'Project'.
