    Business rule not working


    I am trying to create a business rule saying that if the delivery date + 6 months is greater than today then send a standard text.

    For some reason I am having difficulty making this rule work and I am not sure if I understand the way it is written in the rules.

    I have attached a screenshot of the rule and it would be great if someone could help me understand it.

    Does it mean eta < +6 months + today or eta + 6 months < today? if the second option is correct, for my case would it be correct to set eta> -6 months +today?

      I would think this would mean ETA less then 6 months relative time (evenings, weekends and holidays might be excluded based on your SLA) in the future from now as you are using the + in your hours.

      In other words, less then 6 months from now.

      From what I uderstand is that you want to have a "IF ETA = more then 6 months from now" for which you would have to change the operator to "more then". (see attached picture)

      The rule log might be of assistance here.
      For debugging/testing/confirming you can create a copy of your rule where you specify 10 minutes and have only a business rule variable in the THEN section getting it's value or create an IF with your personal email address so only you will get the standard text.
