What are Badges?

Badges are a way of displaying your knowledge and expertise. You collect badges as you contribute to the community—be it through posting on forums, commenting on other members’ posts, or submitting great ideas. You also get badges in recognition of helping other community members or participating in events.

The badges you have earned are displayed in the My Badges section of your user profile. However, until you have earned a badge, you will not see the My Badges section.

What are the badges that I can earn?

Badge Name Description Eligibility
Conversation Starter For members who have created new posts on the community forums. Badges are awarded after 5, 15, 50, and 100 posts have been published.

Conversationalist For members who have commented on posts on the community forums. Badges are awarded after 5, 15, 50, 100, 500, and 1,000 comments have been posted.

Problem Solver For members who have comments selected as Best Answer on the community forums. Badges are awarded after 5, 10, 25, 50, and 100 comments have been selected as Best Answer.

Best Answer Ambassador For members who have selected Best Answer for questions they have posted on the community forums. Badges are awarded after 5, 10, 25, 50, and 100 comments have been selected as Best Answer.

Networker For members who have added other community members to his/her network. Badges are awarded after 5, 15, 50, and 100 connections have been added.

Visionary For members who have shared their ideas on the community's Idea Labs. Badges are awarded after 5, 15, 50, and 100 ideas have been submitted.

Why don’t I see the badge in my profile, even though I’ve met the criteria for earning a badge?

As of now, most badges are assigned on a monthly basis based on member activity. If you think you should get a badge but you don’t see it in your profile within this timeframe, please drop us an email and we will look into it.
